Alia's Belly Dance Biography

Alia has been Belly Dancing professionally for over 10 years both throughout Australia and overseas. Having originally learned the art of Middle Eastern Dance in her native New Zealand, she has been tutored by some of the best known teachers in this genre. She has travelled the world performing in Honolulu (USA); Europe, Singapore and Egypt. She is one of a few foreign dancers who holds an Egyptian Performer's License.

She can call upon an extensive dance background, which includes Classical and Jazz Ballet, Tap, Ballroom, Rock & Roll, and Latin American.

Alia is actively involved with promoting Middle Eastern Dance as a healing tool and suitable exerise for women's health and well-being.

She is a highly sought after Belly Dancer in Melbourne, particularly with the various Middle Eastern, Turkish and Greek communities for weddings and functions, as well as resident Belly Dancer at several restaurants.
